The Silver Plough is the hidden jewel in the Wiltshire countryside. From the moment you step from your car you will be on an amazing journey. When you arrive in the main bar you will be intrigued by the carved bar front, not to mention all the unusual articles and pottery hanging from the beams.

We serve three real ales brewed by Hall & Woodhouse, family brewers from Blandford in Dorset, all kept to a high standard. Wines are served by the bottle or by the glass, we have an extensive wine list for you to choose from. The usual bottle beers and soft drinks are also available. Freshly ground coffee, cappuccino, espresso and tea are also always available.

Our food is complemented in most good food and pub guides, including AA and Which. We have also won the Egon Ronay Pub of the Year 1990. Our bar menu and blackboard specials are always available. We also serve our delicious A La Carte menu in the evenings. Our Chefs prepare all the food on the premises, using fresh vegetables and making use of the local Fjordling Smokery for our fish, chicken and game produce. Our Chefs are always looking for new exciting ways to serve the wonderful produce we use, taking time to match each dish with complimentary sauces.

Our irresistible puddings are an important part of our menu, freshly prepared they have a dedicated blackboard. Try our delicious Banoffee Pie or maybe our chefs special Baileys Cheesecake. You can try any of our mouth watering dishes in the main bar which has a non-smoking section, or our snug bar with it's pretty thatched bar canopy. Alternatively eat in our beautifully appointed non-smoking restaurant. If the weather is good eat Al' fresco in our pretty south facing garden.
